SmallRig Launches Compact 25W RGB LED Video Light
Chinese company SmallRig has released the RM 25C, a compact RGB LED video light with a 25W output, targeting users who require a portable yet relatively powerful lighting solution. Measuring 113 x 74 x 29 mm and weighing 225 grams, the unit fits within a pocket or small compartment in a gear bag. Despite its reduced size, it delivers up to 768 lux at one meter and features a color temperature range from 2500K to 10,000K.
In addition to the normal light, the RM 25C includes 14 built-in effects and supports full RGB output with over 36,000 color options, with a color accuracy rated with a CRI of 96 and TLCI of 99. A side-mounted LCD screen displays key information such as brightness, color temperature and battery status, and is controlled via a dial.
The light offers two mounting options: a magnetic rear surface for metal attachment and a standard 1/4″-20 thread at the base, allowing for both rapid positioning and compatibility with arms, tripods and other supports.
The internal 3100mAh battery allows for continuous operation at full brightness for approximately 50 minutes, while the USB-C Power Delivery enables a recharge to 80 percent in about 45 minutes. The light can also operate while charging, which can be useful for extended or fixed-location setups. An included diffuser softens the light for less harsh illumination.
The RM 25C is now available for order at a retail price of $59 USD.
