Tilta Releases New Camera Cages for FUJIFILM GFX100RF, Leica Q3 and Canon R50 V
Chinese company Tilta has expanded its lineup of camera accessories with the release of three new cages designed for the FUJIFILM GFX100RF, Leica Q3 and Canon R50 V. Each cage is available in two configurations, offering varying levels of support and accessory integration depending on user needs.
For the FUJIFILM GFX100RF, Tilta introduced the Vintage Camera Cage in both a Lightweight Kit and a Travel Kit. Both versions share an L-bracket structure made from aluminum, complemented by a walnut-textured wooden grip. The Lightweight Kit includes a leather half-case mounted via a 1/4”-20 screw, offering basic protection and improved handling without significantly altering the camera’s form. It features a battery compartment flap for continued access while the case is mounted and includes a hot shoe thumb bracket to provide a more stable hand position. The Travel Kit adds functionality with ARCA-Swiss compatibility, strap connection points and an ultra-thin CNC-machined top cover for additional protection.
The Leica Q3 is supported by another vintage-inspired cage that prioritizes compactness. The Base Kit includes an L-bracket that attaches via the camera’s hot shoe and offers minimal intervention with the camera body. It features a thumb grip, strap buckles and support for a tilting screen. The Travel Kit builds on this with a textured top plate, a rotating ARCA quick-release base and additional mounting points.
Tilta’s cage for the Canon R50 V is targeted at compact video setups and is offered in two formats: a Full Cage and a Base Kit. Both feature a machined aluminum bottom plate, cold shoe receiver, NATO rail and 1/4″-20 mounting threads with locating points. A built-in silicone-lined handgrip is designed to conform to the user’s palm for handheld comfort. The Base Kit consists of the core grip and bottom plate, while the Full Cage adds a top plate for additional mounting points and protection, useful for attaching monitors or microphones. A magnetic screwdriver is integrated into the design, and the cage allows full access to camera ports and the battery compartment.
In terms of materials and functionality, the R50 V cages are modular, with detachable mounting elements including the NATO rail, ARCA plate and cold shoe mount. The cage weight ranges from 100g in a minimal setup to 173g with all components attached. A black or silver finish is available.
All new cage systems are now available; pricing varies by model and configuration. The FUJIFILM GFX100RF Lightweight Kit is priced at $44, while the Travel Kit is $107. For the Leica Q3, the Base Kit is listed at $89 and the Travel Kit at $159. The Canon R50 V Full Cage is available for $69, and the Base Kit is priced at $80.
