Godox Introduces Modular iT32 Flash System
Godox has introduced a new modular flash system consisting of the iT32 Mini Flash and the X5 TTL Wireless Flash Trigger. The two components form a compact, cross-compatible lighting setup designed for use with most major camera systems, offering full TTL and high-speed sync (HSS) support.
The iT32 flash has a familiar design, featuring a touchscreen interface, a rotating and tilting head, a built-in reflector and diffuser, and a USB-C charging port. It also includes a LED modeling light, 2.4GHz wireless control, and magnetic color filters. With a guide number of 18 meters and a flash duration as short as 1/30,000 second, the iT32 can be wirelessly operated from up to 80 meters away, with power output ranging from 1/128 to full, and flash exposure compensation of ±3 EV. It offers high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, or 1/80,000 second when paired with Sony’s global shutter cameras. The Chinese company reports a recycle time of 1.5 seconds and up to 510 full-power flashes per charge. The unit measures 101 x 56 x 39 mm and weighs approximately 170 g.
What distinguishes the iT32 is its detachable hot shoe system: the flash itself does not include a built-in mount, but connects magnetically to the Godox X5 module, which functions as both a hot shoe and a wireless trigger. The magnetic connection enables quick attachment and removal, while the flash automatically recognizes which X5 version is connected. This modular design allows photographers to switch between camera brands—Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony, and OM System—by simply changing the X5 module rather than buying multiple flashes.
When used separately, the X5 operates as a transmitter, controlling the iT32 or other flashes within the Godox 2.4GHz Wireless X System. The trigger’s connection does not require manual pairing, and the system supports multi-light setups.
The iT32 Mini Flash is priced at $79, while the X5 module costs $19.90 for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, and OM System versions, and $25 for Sony. A combined kit including both units is also available for about $99.
