WELCOME TO
THE FIFTH EDITION OF
EXIBART STREET
PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
The fifth edition of the Exibart Street Photography Contest is now open.
The submission deadline is October 15th, 2026
Presided over by Alan Schaller, the contest continues its focus on street photography as a contemporary visual language, welcoming submissions from photographers worldwide.

Street photography has established itself as a vital visual language and an accessible yet demanding creative practice, rooted in observation, timing, and the ability to read the public space. It allows photographers to transform everyday life into meaningful narratives, capturing fleeting, unrepeatable moments that reveal the complexity, contradictions, and poetry of contemporary society.
Over the course of five editions, the contest has witnessed a significant evolution in the quality of submissions, both in technical mastery and in artistic awareness. This growth reflects not only the maturation of individual photographic voices, but also the central role photography now plays in shaping and interpreting our shared visual culture.
exibart street, a project developed by the contemporary art magazine exibart, approaches street photography as a field of artistic research, where instinct, authorship, and critical vision intersect. The platform explores the genre’s evolution, its ethical and aesthetic boundaries, and its ongoing dialogue with contemporary art practices.
In collaboration with Leica Camera, the fifth edition of the contest reaffirms its commitment to discovering, supporting, and giving visibility to outstanding photographic talent from around the world, encouraging diverse perspectives and personal approaches to the street.
The competition is structured into two categories: Best Series and Best Single Photo, each designed to highlight different ways of engaging with the language of street photography.
