ShiftCam Introduces the LensUltra System

ShiftCam has announced the LensUltra, a new lineup of smartphone add-on lenses organized into two series — P and V — aimed at different levels of use and optical performance. The launch follows a teaser the company issued in April 2026, when it stated the lenses would set a new standard in mobile optics. Both series require a compatible ShiftCam Camera Case, available for iPhone 14 through iPhone 17 Pro Max and, on Android, for the Samsung S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.

The P Series is the more accessible of the two and mounts over the primary 1x camera module. It covers three focal configurations: a 60mm telephoto for portraits and lifestyle photography, a 16mm wide-angle for landscapes and interiors, and a 10x Micro lens for close-up subjects such as food, flowers, and small objects. The optical intervention in each case is purely physical, altering the image before it reaches the sensor rather than relying on digital zoom or software processing — a distinction ShiftCam emphasizes as central to the series. Telephoto optics produce natural subject compression and separation; wide-angle optics preserve compositional integrity at broader angles of view; macro optics resolve detail that the native smartphone lens cannot capture at equivalent distances.

The V Series represents ShiftCam’s highest-specification mobile optics to date. It uses fluorite glass elements, advanced multi-layer coatings, and a low-chromatic-aberration design, and attaches via ShiftCam’s S.Mount system — a more robust mounting interface intended to support the additional weight and size of the larger optics while maintaining stability during handheld use. The V Series lineup includes a 60mm telephoto, a 16mm wide-angle, a 75mm Long Range Macro for detailed close-ups, and a 200-degree fisheye for immersive wide-field capture. The S.Mount interface also accepts ShiftCam’s cinematic filter series, including hard and soft variable ND, Black Mist, and CPL options, making it compatible with a broader range of controlled-exposure and creative applications. ShiftCam describes the V Series as being aimed at creators who require consistent optical performance across a range of shooting scenarios and who want the flexibility of a modular system without carrying dedicated camera equipment.

The P Series lenses are priced individually at $129 each, with a three-lens kit available for $299. Each V Series lens is priced just under $200, with a comprehensive kit — comprising all four lenses, a carrying case, a precision aluminum phone case with integrated grip, and four magnetic filters — available for $1,049.
