Godox Refreshes TT350 Flash With New TT350II

Godox has announced the TT350II Thinklite, an updated version of its compact TTL flash designed for mirrorless cameras. The second-generation model introduces a hybrid hot shoe, a color display and an integrated LED modeling light, while retaining the wireless functions and battery-powered design of the original TT350, introduced nearly a decade ago.

One of the main changes concerns compatibility with different camera systems. The TT350II incorporates a multi-contact hybrid hot shoe that allows a single flash unit to operate with Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, OM System and Panasonic cameras, including support for TTL automatic exposure. However, Sony cameras require a separate version, designated TT350II S, because of their different hot shoe configuration. Consequently, the new design reduces the number of camera-specific variants without providing universal compatibility.

The flash also introduces a redesigned control interface. The monochrome display of the previous generation has been replaced by a high-definition color screen, which presents operating modes, exposure settings and wireless information. Physical controls remain available through a selection of buttons and a rotary dial, allowing adjustments without relying on a touchscreen.

Another addition is an integrated LED modeling light, positioned on the front of the unit. This provides continuous illumination for focusing in low-light environments and allows photographers to assess the direction of the light before triggering the flash. However, it is intended primarily as an auxiliary light rather than a substitute for a dedicated continuous lighting system.

The TT350II has a guide number of 36 meters at ISO 100 and covers focal lengths from 24mm to 105mm through its adjustable zoom mechanism. The flash head can tilt downward by 7 degrees and upward by 120 degrees, while horizontal rotation extends through 270 degrees, thus allowing indirect illumination by reflecting light from ceilings or walls. An integrated bounce card and wide-angle diffusion panel are also included, while an optional magnetic adapter provides compatibility with additional light modifiers.

Exposure functions include TTL automatic flash, manual power adjustment, high-speed synchronization, first- and second-curtain synchronization and multi-stroboscopic operation. The unit also incorporates Godox’s 2.4GHz Wireless X system, allowing it to function as either a transmitter or receiver in configurations involving compatible flashes and studio lighting equipment. Wireless communication is supported at distances of up to approximately 100 meters, with 32 selectable channels.

Power is supplied by two AA batteries. According to Godox, the flash can deliver approximately 210 full-power flashes when using 2,500mAh NiMH batteries, with a recycling time of around 2.5 seconds at maximum output. Flash duration ranges from 1/600 to 1/25,000 second, depending on the selected power setting. The unit measures approximately 144 × 65 × 37mm and weighs 216 grams. A USB-C connection is provided for firmware updates.

The Godox TT350II Thinklite is available at a US retail price of $84.90. The package includes a mini stand, diffuser and storage bag, while additional magnetic light modifiers are sold separately.
