I was born in Barga on 17�51985 but I have always lived in Lucca. When I finished my secondary school I went to university and began to study law. While I was still attending university, for some unexpected reasons, I started taking pictures again like when I was younger. I began to attend some private courses which were held by my teacher Mr. Filippo Brancoli Pantera and from whom I have learned the biggest part of my knowledge of photography. Filippo for me as been much more than just a great teacher. At the beginning of February in 2013 I won the competition of photo scene in the theatre called “Effetto teatro” and from that year on I started to work as a photographer at the “Teatro del Giglio” the theatre of my town. I have had the opportunity of photographing operas (Madama Butterfly, La vedova allegra, Napoli milionaria). I like exploring the differences between operas for example the one set in Naples which is very gestural and full of passion and another one based on a novel of Edgar Allan Poe which is so dark, obscure and imaginative. In 2015 I exhibited a project “The genius of Leonardo” at the museum Lu.C.C.A. (Lucca center of cotemporary art, http://www.luccamuseum.com/it). This project was about the paper mill and the factory. The meaning of this was to change the traditional point of view of these work places from a neutral, desaturated and formal way where everything is for its nature very solid and material to a colourful, dreamlike and vaguely surreal point of view. In the same year I also took part to a collective art show with urban and industrial pictures made in b&w film. At this exhibition the participants were painters and artists of Lucca among which was also Antonio Possenti, a painter very famous in my town. In may 2016 I took part to a collective art show of cotemporary art called “In contemporanea” held at the Lazzareschi foundation in Lucca. The selection was for painters, sculptors, photographers and video makers from Italy with some international participants. In 2016 I took a diploma in Visual storytelling at ICP masterclass in Turin (Italy). Icp is International school of Photography and it is very famous worldwide (website of the school, https://www.icp.org/). In 2018 I arrived 6th at the Italian Canon prize for young photographers.
