DJI Introduces Power 2000 Portable Power Station

DJI has expanded its lineup of portable power solutions with the release of the Power 2000, a power station designed for a range of use cases including home backup, field production, road travel and off-grid environments.

The Power 2000 features a base capacity of 2,048Wh housed in a 32.6-liter enclosure. Weighing 22 kilograms, the unit can be expanded to a total of 22,528Wh by connecting up to ten additional Power Expansion Battery 2000 units, each with an identical 2,048Wh capacity and weighing 16.5 kilograms. The system is capable of maintaining a 3,000W output across its charge cycle, making it compatible with most household appliances.

Port configuration includes four AC outputs, four USB-C ports and four USB-A ports, while recharging options include grid power (0–80% in 55 minutes; full charge in 90 minutes), solar input (up to 1,800W), car alternator input and hybrid charging, which combines AC and DC sources. The Power 2000 supports UPS functionality with a switchover time of 0.01 seconds in the event of a power failure.

The unit uses lithium iron phosphate battery cells, maintaining 80% of original capacity after 4,000 full charge cycles. Safety features include an intelligent battery management system (BMS), flame-retardant construction, 26 temperature sensors, and 21 internal fuses. Moreover, sub-nano coating and potting techniques are applied to internal components to improve durability in harsh environments.

Users can control and monitor the system via the DJI Home app, which also integrates with expansion units and charging accessories. These include the DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger and the 1kW Car Charger, both of which support two-way charging between the Power 2000 and vehicle batteries. A specialized hand truck is also available for transport.

The DJI Power 2000 retails for $1,299 USD and is available through DJI and authorized retailers.
