edelkrone Unveils Krone X for Advanced Motion Control
Turkish company edelkrone has introduced the Krone X, a next-generation motion control system that integrates multiple filmmaking tools into a single, cohesive unit. Designed to offer advanced multi-axis movement with minimal technical effort, the Krone X combines the DollyPLUS, JibPLUS (or JibONE), and HeadPLUS to deliver what the company calls “HyperAxial Motion.” This allows for synchronized, 6+1 axis camera movement—enabling tracking shots, vertical lifts, and precision pans that traditionally required large crews or robotic systems.
At the core of the Krone X is its seamless integration of existing edelkrone products. Mounted on the DollyPLUS, the system can travel smoothly across a flat surface while simultaneously executing complex movements such as rising or falling with the jib and reframing with the motorized head. The system can produce both linear and curved tracking paths, whose setup can be controlled through the edelkrone app interface.
One of the standout features is Point Tracking, which allows users to define up to six tracking points in advance. The system uses positional data—not image processing—to predict and maintain framing on a subject even during dynamic movement. Users can switch between tracking points mid-shot, and the HeadPLUS will automatically adjust to keep the chosen point in frame, making it ideal for parallax effects and complex scene compositions.
The Krone X is available in multiple configurations. The Essentials Bundle includes the basic components for standard multi-axis motion. The Complete Bundle adds accessories for expanded use cases, while the Advanced Bundle offers the full system for maximum flexibility. Depending on the chosen setup, users can opt for the JibONE v3 or the more advanced JibPLUS.
Batteries are not included with most ONE and PLUS devices, though they are included with Tripod X.
