Godox Introduces Compact TTL Flashes iT20 and iT22

Godox has introduced two compact TTL flash units, the iT20 and iT22, designed for multiple camera systems including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM System and Panasonic.

Positioned as lightweight, budget-oriented solutions, the two models share the same functionality but differ in size and design. The iT20 is smaller and weighs about 45 grams, while the iT22 is taller, weighing approximately 52 grams. The larger form factor of the iT22 provides additional clearance when used with cameras fitted with large lenses or deep hoods.

Each unit features TTL metering with compatible cameras and offers a manual mode with adjustable output levels ranging from 1/32 to full power in one-third-stop increments. They do not support high-speed sync and are expected to deliver a relatively modest output compared to larger Godox units. The manufacturer has not disclosed a guide number yet. The flashed also feature a simple control interface, consisting of a mode button and a small display, allowing users to switch between settings.

Both flashes include an integrated lithium-ion battery, rechargeable via USB-C, with an estimated capacity of up to 700 flashes per charge and a recycle time of around 1.5 seconds. The flashes are also compatible with Godox’s magnetic accessories, such as diffusers, color filters, gels and honeycomb grids. Two CTO filters and a basic diffuser are supplied with each flash, while additional modifiers are sold separately.

The flashes lack an adjustable head, meaning they cannot tilt for bounce lighting. Godox offers an optional accessory, the TR TTL Hot Shoe Riser, which elevates the flash by 30 millimeters and provides up to 90 degrees of tilt while maintaining TTL functionality.

Both flashes are already available and are priced at approximately $45.
