Godox Unveils the KNOWLED MG2400R Light for High-End Productions
Chinese company Godox recently released the KNOWLED MG2400R, a 2650-watt RGBWW LED monolight built for professional film, television and commercial productions. With a wide colour temperature range from 1800K to 10,000K and support for CCT, HSI, RGBW, Gel, and X/Y coordinate modes, the fixture enables precise colour matching and creative flexibility on set.
The light uses a hybrid RGBWW engine, combining red, green, blue, warm white, and cool white sources to achieve rich, saturated colours and clean white tones. Its CRI of 94 and TLCI of 92 ensure accurate colour reproduction, while built-in green–magenta shift adjustment allows for fine-tuning to match camera sensors or correct colour casts. Four selectable dimming curves and flicker-free performance at all intensities ensure smooth operation even during high-frame-rate capture.
The MG2400R’s robust structure features an IP54-rated metal housing for protection against dust and light rain, making it ideal for use on unpredictable outdoor shoots. In addition, an integrated cooling system with variable-speed fans maintains optimal performance during long operating hours, preventing overheating without disrupting audio recording or interfering with the light output.
Compatible with the Godox G-Mount system, the MG2400R works with a wide range of modifiers such as Fresnel lenses, softboxes, barndoors and projection attachments. It shares this mounting standard with other models in the company’s KNOWLED line, including the MG200Bi, MG1200Bi and MG1200R. The fixture’s optical system is optimized to maintain beam consistency and light quality when paired with such tools.
The light also includes a control box that allows for both local and remote adjustments. Connectivity options include DMX, CRMX, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and support via the Godox KNOWLED app, making it possible to integrate the MG2400R into complex lighting networks or existing workflows. Its high-speed mode ensures stable, uninterrupted light output for flicker-free footage.
The KNOWLED MG2400R ships with a yoke mount, reflector, and power controller. It is available in three configurations: as a standalone unit with controller or bundled with either a flight case or soft storage cases. The standard version is priced at $7,999, while the packaged options retail for $8,190.
