Insta360 Broadens Ace Pro 2 System With New Accessories and Bundles

Insta360 has expanded the accessory ecosystem surrounding its Leica-collaborated Ace Pro 2 action camera, introducing a series of new bundles that combine additional lenses, an updated grip, revised Leica color profiles, and a portable Pocket Printer. The additions aim to broaden the camera’s capabilities for both video and still uses while responding to feedback from the growing creator community that has formed around the system.

“With help from Leica, we’ve redefined the action camera. It’s no longer just for capturing thrilling action sports—it has become a creative tool for serious photography.” said Max Richter Co-Founder & VP Marketing.

The most distinctive new accessory is the Pocket Printer, which Insta360 describes as the first portable printer designed specifically for an action camera. It produces three-inch dye-sublimation prints using a proprietary cartridge system and connects to the Ace Pro 2 via Bluetooth. Prints include a border marking that features the camera’s branding alongside technical specifications. Replacement cartridges are currently available only through Insta360. The printer can function independently or attach directly to the camera through the new Xplorer Grip Pro, mimicking the handling of a compact instant camera.

The updated Xplorer Grip Pro replaces the earlier grip released in the spring: this new version integrates camera controls, including zoom adjustments, exposure changes, and mode switching, without navigating on-screen menus. It also incorporates a redesigned shutter mechanism and houses a secondary 2,010 mAh battery that extends continuous 4K/60p operation. The grip connects through the camera’s USB-C port and includes a mount for attaching the Pocket Printer.

Insta360 is also releasing three new lenses for the Ace Pro 2: a Cinematic Lens for producing widescreen, film-style imagery; an Ultra-Wide Lens for expanded field-of-view shooting; and a Close-Up Lens for short-distance work. Additional Leica-developed color profiles, Leica Eternal and Leica B&W High Contrast, come with Firmware V2.0.3, along with new in-camera filters intended to produce stylized results without external grading.

The hardware and firmware updates arrive packaged in four new camera bundles. The Xplorer Pro Bundle, the entry point in the range, includes the Ace Pro 2, the updated grip, and supporting accessories, and is the only kit offered in the United States. The Flash Print Bundle adds the Pocket Printer, a flip-up screen hood, and a leather case for users who want the option to generate instant prints. A more curated setup, the Videography Bundle Limited Edition, includes the camera, the grip, the screen hood, and the Cinematic Lens in a custom box. The most extensive option, the Ultimate Videography Bundle, includes all three new lenses in addition to the other accessories, offering the widest flexibility for various shooting situations.
