Meike Launches 24mm f/1.4 Autofocus Lens for Full-Frame Mirrorless

Chinese company Meike has released the Mix 24mm f/1.4, a wide-angle autofocus prime designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, available for Sony E, Nikon Z and Leica L mounts. The lens combines a wide field of view and bright aperture, placing it among the relatively small number of 24mm f/1.4 autofocus primes available for these mounts and making it suitable for applications such as landscape, street, environmental portraiture, travel, and astrophotography.

The optical design consists of 15 elements in 12 groups, with an 11-blade diaphragm. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.28 meters, producing a maximum magnification of 0.1x. The lens incorporates a stepper motor for autofocus and includes external controls such as a large focus ring, aperture ring, AF/MF switch, and a customizable focus hold button. The internal focusing design keeps the barrel length constant, which can be advantageous for video work and when using filters or gimbals. A 72mm filter thread is supported across all versions.

The physical specifications vary slightly by mount. The E-mount version measures 107mm and weighs 556g, the L-mount version is 105mm and 550g, while the Z-mount version is 109 mm and 560 g.

The Meike Mix 24mm f/1.4 is now available at a price of $589.
