NANLITE has introduced the PJ-BM-25-45, a next-generation Bowens Mount Projection Attachment designed to offer creators a wide range of possibilities in light control. The lens system offers a zoomable 25° to 45° beam angle, enabling seamless transitions between medium and wide beam spreads with a simple twist of the zoom ring—without the need to remove gobos or adjust shutters.

The Chinese company’s new product is built from aluminium alloy and composite materials, weighs 2.68 kg and can be directly mounted onto Bowens-compatible LED fixtures under 800W—such as NANLITE’s Forza, FC, and FS series—without requiring an additional yoke or support. It includes a 360° rotatable lens barrel for adjustments, as well as integrated aperture blades for refined beam edge control. A magnetic aperture attachment improves light quality by reducing unwanted spill, while an optional 18-blade iris diaphragm allows for detailed manipulation of the beam diameter.

The built-in gobo holder accommodates standard M-size patterns and comes with four included gobos. It also supports third-party designs and two optional NANLITE gobo sets, providing expanded creative flexibility. A gel frame is included for quick colour filter swaps.

The PJ-BM-25-45 also features aspherical lenses to reduce distortion, anti-reflective coatings to enhance light transmission and minimize chromatic dispersion, and a matte inner barrel to suppress stray light ensuring sharp, colour-accurate projections.

The projection attachment uses high-thermal-conductivity aluminium to ensure stable operation during prolonged use with high-output lights. A carrying bag is also included for safe transport and storage, making the product suitable mobile crews and independent filmmakers.
