Sandmarc Expands Hybrid Sling Line
American company Sandmarc has expanded its Hybrid Sling lineup with two larger versions, introducing 6L and 9L models alongside the existing 3L option. The new editions are intended for users who require additional storage capacity while maintaining a compact, crossbody-oriented form factor suitable for travel and daily use.
The Hybrid Sling series is positioned as a modular carry system for photographers and content creators who alternate between smartphone-based shooting and dedicated camera setups. The 6L version is designed to accommodate mirrorless camera kits, together with accessories and a tablet up to 12 inches. The 9L model instead capacity further, allowing space for a full-frame DSLR or mirrorless body, an additional lens, and a laptop up to 14 inches.
All versions share the same core design. The interior features a configurable layout with removable dividers and pouches that can be repositioned to organize cameras, lenses, filters, memory cards, and other accessories, aimed at providing adaptable storage rather than a fixed compartment structure. Externally, the bags include concealable straps for attaching items such as a tripod, jacket, or water bottle, as well as a luggage pass-through for integration with rolling suitcases. A detachable shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn crossbody or carried in a briefcase-style configuration. A hidden compartment is included for tracking devices.
Construction materials include 840D ballistic nylon for the main body and a weather-resistant tarpaulin panel on the lower section. The bags use YKK zippers with aluminum pullers and aluminum buckles. The adjustable strap extends from approximately 106 to 172 cm. The 6L version weighs about 745 grams and measures 33 × 15 × 15 cm, while the 9L weighs roughly 794 grams and measures 38.7 × 12.7 × 25.4 cm.
The Hybrid Sling 6L is priced at $130 and the 9L at $150, with availability scheduled for March 2026. The 3L model remains listed at $90.
