SmallRig has released two new lighting modifiers: the FP-60 and FP-90 Quick-Setup Folding Parabolic Softboxes, designed to facilitate faster deployment with a revised umbrella-style quick-release mechanism that allows the softboxes to open and fold in a single motion, thus reducing setup time in professional and portable lighting environments.

The fixtures are constructed with a 16 stainless steel rib frame and their design incorporates dual-layer diffusion and an internal textured silver-metallic reflective lining with a matte anti-glare coating. Both the FP-60 and the FP-90 use a universal Bowens S mount, making them compatible with a wide range of lighting systems across various brands. The mount is also detachable, allowing it to be swapped out for alternative mounting systems, if required.

The FP-60 weighs approximately 900 grams and the FP-90 weighs about 1,200 grams, and both models fold flat for easier transport and storage. The FP-60, when fully extended, reaches 600 x 400 mm, and the FP-90 extends to 900 x 600 mm, while their compact folded dimensions are 640 x 220 x 70 mm for the FP-60 and 900 x 220 x 85 mm for the FP-90.
