TTartisan Unveils “Orange Pop” Limited Edition Lens
TTArtisan has introduced a limited-edition version of its AF 35mm f/1.8 II APS-C lens, distinguished solely by a highly visible color scheme rather than any technical changes. Branded as the “Orange Pop” edition, the lens features a yellow metal barrel with a contrasting red focus ring and a matching rectangular lens hood. Aside from its appearance, it remains mechanically and optically identical to the standard black and silver versions already on the market.
The lens is designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras and provides a field of view equivalent to approximately 50–53mm on full frame, depending on the mount. It is available for Sony E and Fujifilm X mounts, while a Nikon Z version appears to be excluded from this limited run. The construction uses an aluminum alloy body, and weight varies slightly by mount but remains under 200 grams, keeping the lens compact and portable.
Optically, the AF 35mm f/1.8 II uses a 10-element, 7-group design that incorporates two high-refractive-index elements and two extra-low-dispersion elements. This configuration is intended to manage chromatic aberration and maintain consistent performance across the frame. The lens employs a nine-blade aperture diaphragm and offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 meters. Autofocus is driven by an STM stepping motor paired with a lead-screw mechanism, providing quiet operation and compatibility with face and eye detection features on supported camera bodies.
As with other recent TTArtisan autofocus lenses, firmware updates are handled through a USB-C port integrated into the rear lens cap rather than the lens body itself. This approach allows updates without additional accessories and preserves a clean exterior design.

For this purely cosmetic variant, Chinese manufacturer TTArtisan has indicated that production is limited, though exact regional allocation has not been formally detailed. The AF 35mm f/1.8 II “Orange Pop” is priced at $140, representing a small increase over the standard finishes.
