TTArtisan Adds Sony E and Nikon Z Versions to AF 23mm f/1.8 Lineup

TTArtisan has expanded its AF 23mm f/1.8 APS-C prime to additional mounts, adding Sony E and Nikon Z versions to the Fujifilm X model released earlier in the year.

The new variants differ slightly in exterior design but follow the same specifications: a compact autofocus lens providing a 35mm-equivalent field of view on APS-C cameras, an f/1.8 maximum aperture, and a minimum focusing distance of 300 millimeters. Across all mounts, the lens uses an STM stepping motor intended to deliver fast and quiet autofocus performance for both still imaging and video.

Construction remains consistent among the versions: the body is made from aviation-grade aluminum and weighs roughly 221 grams, keeping the lens light while maintaining a solid build. The optical design consists of 11 elements arranged in nine groups, including one high-index element and two extra-low-dispersion elements used to control chromatic aberrations and support overall sharpness. A nine-blade diaphragm is employed to shape out-of-focus areas, while a 52mm filter thread accommodates standard filters. TTArtisan also continues its practice of integrating a USB-C port into the rear lens cap for firmware updates rather than placing it on the lens.

The Chinese company positions the AF 23mm f/1.8 as a general-purpose option suited to street, travel, portrait, and everyday photography. Its focal length and relatively fast aperture place it within the company’s range of low-cost autofocus primes. The lens is priced at $127 and is now available for Fujifilm X, Sony E, and Nikon Z mounts.

Alongside the release, TTArtisan has introduced a limited Polar White edition of its AF 27mm f/2.8 lens for Fujifilm X and Sony E systems. This version differs only in appearance, offering a white finish aimed at users seeking a minimalist aesthetic.
