Bangladeshi migrant workers arriving in the middle of the night at Kuala Lumpur international airport, all hoping the work permits they paid enormous sums for are valid. After being processed by the the border police they will be met by agents and take up 3D jobs (dirty, dangerous, demeaning) throughout the country. While literally building Kuala Lumpur and making Malaysia relatively rich, these migrant workers will experience exploitation, the absence of safe work environments, and poor pay. A sad reality played out globally.
