7Artisans Launches 10mm f/3.5 Ultra-Wide Manual Lens
7Artisans has introduced a new 10mm f/3.5 ultra-wide-angle lens designed for APS-C mirrorless systems and Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mounts, intended for users seeking a compact ultra-wide field of view without fisheye distortion. Available for Sony E, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X and MFT mounts, the lens delivers a 15mm equivalent focal length on APS-C sensors and approximately 20mm on MFT bodies.
Physically, the 10mm f/3.5 is built with a durable aluminum alloy housing and measures approximately 34mm in length, weighing around 125.5 grams depending on the mount. It features a clicked aperture ring that ranges from f/3.5 to f/22. The diaphragm includes five blades, producing 10-point sunstars when shooting with narrow apertures. The filter thread measures 37mm.
Its small size and lightweight design further position it as a functional option for travel and mobile applications, while the absence of electronic features and the fixed focal length suggest its target audience is experienced photographers and content creators comfortable with full manual control.
The optical construction consists of nine elements in seven groups, producing a rectilinear image rendering with a 108° angle of view with low barrel distortion. Such characteristic make it suitable for architectural, landscape, street and interior photography The minimum focusing distance is 0.2 meters, with manual focusing supported throughout the entire range. The lens lacks autofocus or electronic integration.
