7Artisans Unveils INFINTE Series of Full-Frame Cine Lenses
Chinese company 7Artisans has introduced the INFINTE Series, a full-frame lens lineup intended to meet the practical demands of filmmakers working across different formats and genres.
The INFINTE lenses are built around a 43.5mm image circle, providing full-frame coverage compatible with current cinema and hybrid camera systems. The seven lenses in the series include 16mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm and 135mm focal lengths. Aperture configurations vary slightly: most fall at T2.1, while the 16mm and 135mm models are slower, at T2.5 and T2.4, respectively. Aperture blade counts differ as well, with the 135mm featuring 17 blades, while most of the lenses ranging from 10 to 11. All lenses offer 330 degrees of focus throw and aperture ring rotation between roughly 69 and 82 degrees.
Mechanically, the lenses feature interchangeable mounts, allowing them to function across a variety of camera platforms. Standard 0.8 MOD gear rings and a uniform 90mm front diameter are included for easier rig integration. The optical design employs floating elements and tight mechanical tolerances to reduce focus breathing—a relevant feature for precise focus transitions. Build quality includes full-metal housings and internal gear structures designed to support both handheld and controlled motion workflows.
In terms of image rendering, multi-layer nano coatings are used to maintain contrast and suppress flares in high-dynamic range environments. This contributes to color consistency and image clarity in uncontrolled lighting or complex setups. Each lens is calibrated to retain good sharpness across the frame and support high-resolution capture formats, including 4K and 6K.
While available individually, the lenses are also sold in curated kits. A three-lens starter kit—comprising 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm—is marketed toward smaller production crews, with a price of $2,237 . The larger Master Set, priced at $3,036, adds the 24mm lens. At $2,487, the Extension Set focuses on specialized focal lengths, including the 16mm, 105mm, and 135mm. Finally, the full set of seven lenses is also available at $5,523. All lenses are offered in both black and white finishes.
