Brian Chorski: Another Patch of Sky
Guest Editions is proud to present Another Patch of Sky, the debut photobook by Los Angeles-based photographer and filmmaker Brian Chorski. Shot over the course of several summers, this beautifully rendered collection captures a dreamlike passage through the wide-open spaces of the American West, offering a fresh and deeply personal perspective on freedom, movement, and the desire to escape.
More than a traditional road trip chronicle, Another Patch of Sky meditates on the idea of the landscape not as a backdrop for epic conquest, but as a space for playful exploration, quiet refuge, and connection with others. Chorski’s lens favors spontaneity and light—sun-drenched afternoons, dusty trails, and the honest presence of friends swimming, biking, resting, and wandering across California, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and Baja Norte. The result is a visual narrative shaped more by curiosity and feeling than by destination.
A celebration of analog photography, natural light, and the emotional landscapes we carry with us, Another Patch of Sky is a tender portrait of the American West—and of the deep need to simply be somewhere else.
