Godox Officially Reveals Its Most Powerful Strobe Yet the AD1200 Pro

Godox has officially unveiled its most powerful strobe yet: the AD1200 Pro. After first teasing a prototype in late 2019, the company has finally made available all the pricing, details and specs of this newest member of its popular system of strobes.

As you’d expect, this is a 1200Ws strobe, but differing from previous AD-family lights, this model is the first to use a separate power pack and cabled flash head design. Even though this is a design that would look at home in a studio, Godox is using a replaceable 2600mAh lithium-ion battery in the pack to ensure it can still be ported on location for flexible lighting needs, and a 5200mAh high-capacity battery is also available for longer shooting sessions.

The Godox AD1200 Pro (as known as Flashpoint XPLOR 1200 Pro R2), is a relatively compact system that it can be fully charged in 2 hours and offers 480-500 full-power strobes per charge. The systems flash head and battery/floor-pack are fan-cooled so you should be able to keep shooting without fear of overheating.
