Lucky Straps Announces a Newly “Game Changing” Camera Strap Quick Release System

Australian accessories manufacturer Lucky has announced a new line of camera straps: a new buckle design that lets you add or remove the company’s camera straps without having to leave any kind of dongle attached to your camera and allow the strap to be taken off in a matter of seconds.

The company says the idea was to produce a quick release system that doesn’t need any attachments that have to be left on the camera when the strap isn’t in use. Users can then fit the camera into underwater housing for example without having to remove attachments from the camera’s lugs to make it fit.

The strap works by combining 10mm Dyneema cut-proof webbing with a custom-made buckle that can be slipped on or off of the camera almost as quickly as any of the more common quick-release clips out there.

Lucky Straps says it’s easy to attach and detach, there’s simple length adjustment, it features a safety lock, it should fit all of the common camera loops, there’s nothing left on the camera once removed, it can support up to 50kg, and it’s made of cut-resistant webbing.

The straps are designed to be worn across the body and feature leather shoulder grips which can be personalized or there’s a choice of cotton. As well as regular and long length straps the company has introduced a wrist strap that uses the same quick-release system and webbing.

The straps with the new quick-release system cost up to $91, while the wrist straps are $62.
