Peak Design Refreshes Its Line of Camera Bags “Everyday Line” with New Styles, Features, and Colors

Peak Design has evolved from a crowdfunded upstart into a trusted accessory brand for photographers everywhere. Launched in 2015, Peak Design’s Everday Line quickly became one of the most talked-about, awarded and beloved lines of camera bags on the market.
Today they announced an overhaul of its entire camera-focused bag lineup, called the Everyday Line V2 — a major update that adds new features, new colors, and two new styles of bag to one of the most popular lineups of gear and camera bags on the market.

The newly released Everyday Line V2 includes the Everyday Messenger, Everyday Tote, Everyday Totepack, Everyday Sling, Everyday Backpack, and Everyday Backpack Zip. There are new colors—Midnight Navy and ‘Bone’—and those familiar with the lineup will notice that the “Everyday Totepack” and “Everyday Backpack Zip” are all-new designs that didn’t actually exist before.

The company says that it has made improvements to the zippers on all of its bags to increase durability. The new “UltraZips” is claimed to have twenty times the tear strength compared to standard zippers. The designs have also been enhanced with more rounded profiles and streamlined seams, and the magnetic latch closures on the Everyday Backpack and Everyday Messenger have been tweaked, as well.

Everyday Backpack

The improved Everyday Backpack V2 brings back the MagLatch, with a new design that Peak says is “more ergonomic and sleek.” It definitely stands out less than before and does seem to be more intuitive to use. The sides are again accessible via two zippered compartments and the interior is divided by three included velcro, flexible dividers.
The overall look of the Everyday Backpack V2 has been tweaked – and for the better. It was already one of the better-looking photo backpacks you could buy, but the company has made it more rounded this generation and improved the look of all the seams for a look that just generally projects more quality and attention to detail.

Everyday Backpack Zip

The Everyday Backpack Zip is a brand new product for Peak Design, taking a lot of inspiration from the Everyday backpack but opting for a full zip closure in place of the MagLatch that it created and introduced on the Everyday line. Opting to go with a zipper instead of the MagLatch means that the Zip backpack doesn’t have the same capacity expandability to allow you to stuff more in the top compartment, but it also offers its own benefits depending on your needs.
Like the Everyday Backpack, the Zip also features a pass-through luggage strap for putting it on a roller while you’re making your way through an airport, and interlocking zipper pulls that can help prevent anyone from quickly tugging open the bag to try to manage a quick pass-by theft. The durable, ripstop fabric exterior is also great for lifetime sustainability.

Everyday Messenger

The Everyday Messenger is the latest version of Peak Design’s original everyday and photo carry workhorse. Access, organization, expansion, and protection set this aesthetically beautiful bag far apart from run-of-the-mill messengers. Access is via the one-handed, secure MagLatch closure hardware, which adjusts to allow up to 6L of internal expansion.
Inside, instantly customizable FlexFold dividers work brilliantly for camera, drone, and everyday gear. Outside, a weatherproof 100% recycled 400D shell keeps your gear safe. An impressive external carry capacity is made possible by a versatile tuck-away strap system. The bag also includes an external stash pocket with weatherproof zip.
Carry it via the padded hand strap or removable, quick-adjusting padded shoulder strap.

Everyday Sling

The smallest, lightest bag in the Everyday Line, the Everyday Sling v2 is designed for minimalist, on-the-go carry of everyday or photography gear.
Available in three sizes for a range of creative setups, from a rangefinder camera to a pro DSLR, lenses, and laptop.
Wearable as a cross-body sling or a waist bag, the Sling’s convertible strap features a quick-adjuster that you can loosen when accessing gear and tighten when actively hiking or biking.

Everyday Tote

Peak Design’s take on the classic tote bag, the Everyday Tote 15L combines clean aesthetics with thoughtful functionality to protect, organize, and give quick access to your everyday or photo gear. An extra-wide top access point seals via a magnetic clasp or weatherproof zip.
Inside, FlexFold dividers give customizable and protective storage, while a stretchy internal pocket houses your sunglasses and a 13” laptop sleeve keeps your computer safe. Outside, a 100% recycled 400D weatherproof shell keeps everything protected, plus you can carry even more thanks to the external pockets and two stowable external carry cinch straps.
Integrated luggage carry makes the Everyday Tote a perfect personal item for travel.

Everyday Totepack

The clean look of a tote with the active carry convenience of a backpack, the Everyday Totepack is ideal for on-the-go transport of your everyday and photography gear. Padded backpack carry straps quickly stow, leaving you with robust padded hand carry straps.
An extra-wide top access point seals via a magnetic clasp or weatherproof zip. You’ll also find dual zip access points on either side for grabbing your camera, water bottle, or other oft-used items.
Inside, FlexFold dividers give customizable and protective storage. There are also stretchy internal pockets for small items, plus dedicated laptop (15”) and tablet sleeves.
As with all the Everyday Line V2 bags, the exterior is made from a 100% recycled 400D weatherproof shell.

All of the products are available in various colors and sizes, depending on your needs and budget, and those who are environmentally conscious will be happy to hear that the outer shells of the entire lineup are made from 100% recycled materials. Prices start as low as $80 for the smallest (3L) Everyday Sling and go on up to $290 for the largest (30L) Everyday Backpack.
The entire lineup is available to purchase directly from Peak Design starting today.
