SmallHD Unveils Ultra 10 Bolt 6 RX Wireless Monitor with Teradek Receiver
After announcing the Ultra 10 monitor at IBC 2024 and beginning shipping it in May 2025, American company SmallHD has unveiled the Ultra Bolt 6 RX version, consisting of the same monitor integrated with a Teradek Bolt 6 RX wireless video receiver.
The Ultra Bolt 6 RX features a 10-inch 1920 x 1200 QD-LCD touchscreen panel with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, 4K30-capable 6G-SDI and HDMI inputs/outputs and PageOS interface support. It also supports both Bolt 6 and Bolt 4K transmitters for zero-delay wireless video transmission and offers wireless connectivity with Teradek Bolt systems and control through onboard buttons, a joystick, and knob-based inputs. It is compatible with SmallHD’s Camera Control licenses for ARRI, Sony VENICE, BURANO, FX6, and RED (license and cable sold separately).
The device includes function knobs, tactile buttons, a joystick, and a new multi-function rotary encoder for flexible control. The integrated Teradek Bolt 6 RX is available in two range options: 750 feet or 1500 feet. The unit is production-ready and comes with either Gold Mount or V-Mount Wooden Camera Micro Battery Plates, monitor handles, and a neck strap.
The monitor features a rugged chassis with raised edges and shock-absorbing bumpers, and as the SmallHD writes on its website, it “is our first IP54-certified monitor, which is defined as resistant to water spray from any direction and protection against dust and dirt in extreme environments while operating in variable temperatures ranging from 0ºC to 40ºC.”
The Ultra 10 Bolt 6 RX version will be available starting in July. Pricing for the standard Ultra 10 monitor is currently set at $4,499 USD. The Ultra 10 Bolt 6 RX with a 750-foot wireless range is priced at $6,899 USD, while the 1500-foot version is listed at $7,899 USD.
