As seen before with many other products, the new Sony a7 IV camera is also impacted by the chip shortage and high demand, of course – here is the warning issued by Sony Japan:

“Thank you for your continued patronage of Sony products.

We have received orders for the digital single-lens camera “α7 IV” (ILCE-7M4), which we started accepting orders from December 7, 2021, far exceeding our expectations, and it will take time to deliver the product. There is a possibility that you will receive.

We are currently making every effort to meet the needs of our customers, so please wait for a while.”
