Tokina, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary and had planned to reveal this information at CP+2020, has announced its latest 2020 lens development roadmap, showing a number of new lenses it plans to release in 2020 for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. This announcement was initially scheduled for the CP+2020 show that was canceled.

In May 1950 Tokyo Koki Manufacturing company (President, Mr. Denkichi KAWAGUCHI) was established in Shinjuku District, Tokyo as an optical products manufacturer and started designing and manufacturing Tokina brand lenses. During this long period, Tokina has left a great legacy behind.

“We are happy to introduce you our new Tokina 2020 line-up, which was originally planned to be presented at the biggest annual Asian Camera and Imaging photo show CP+2020,” reads the release. “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the show was canceled. [But] we couldn’t accept the loss of this great chance.”

The announcement, seen above, is split into four different sections, based on the lens mounts the forthcoming lenses are destined for.
The Tokina atx-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF will be a follow-up to the Tokina atx-i 11-16mm f/2.8 that was announced back in October 2019. The Tokina atx-i line of lenses is designed and optimized for APS-C sensor DSLR cameras. These ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with a constant f/2.8 aperture will be available during Summer 2020, in either Canon EF or Nikon-F mount. In addition to the previously-announced 11–16mm f/2.8 CF and 100mm f/2.8 CF Macro lenses, Tokina also teases an upcoming 11–20mm f/2.8 CF lens due out in Summer 2020 for Canon and Nikon APS-C DSLR camera.

Also, six new lenses will be added to the Tokina atx-m lineup, including:
Tokina atx-m 23mm f/1.4, Tokina atx-m 33mm f/1.4, Tokina atx-m 56mm f/1.4, all ot these available in Sony E-mount and FUJIFILM X-mount.
These high-speed prime lenses all have an f/1.4 aperture, and there is currently no other technical information about them. The Sony E-mount versions should be available during Summer 2020, while FUJIFILM X-mount ones should be available a bit later during Autumn 2020.

Tokina also highlights three atx-m series lenses for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. In addition to the 85mm f/1.8 FE, which is currently available for $499, Tokina also highlights a 35mm f/1.8 FE and 50mm f/1.8 FE lens, both of which are due out in Autumn 2020.
