The most recent release from TTArtisan is a tiny, lightweight, and reasonably priced autofocus-equipped 35mm f/1.8 lens for Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z-mount APS-C cameras.

The new lens is designed to be suitable for a wide range of scenarios, and the autofocus is powered by an STM plus lead-screw type structure that, according to TTArtisan, enables quiet and fast autofocus to help capture remarkable moments. According to TTArtisan, the new lens’ autofocus motor is reliable and fast enough to handle eye detection on Sony, Fujifilm, and Nikon cameras.

The lens comprises ten components organized into eight groups, one of which is an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element to reduce chromatic aberration and two high refractive index elements. It has a nine-bladed diaphragm and an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/16. According to TTArtisan, this optic has a gentle bokeh with a pleasing aspect to the out-of-focus areas.

It features a front filter size of 52mm and a close focusing distance of 0.6 meters. It weighs 199 grams. The lens and barrel mount are composed of aluminum; however, the rest of the body is primarily plastic. It comes with a metal lens hood with a rectangular opening.
