This Photograph is a part of my ongoing project of photo story “My Kolkata In Kolkata”.
If you come to Kolkata, you’ll find so many tubewell spaces besides the streets of the city. People use those tubewells for many purposes like washing clothes, cleaning residential doorsteps, for culinary intrument washing etc. etc.
But, in the harsh summer season, those tubewell places becomes life giving water resources for all Kolkata dwellers. No matter who’s rich or poor, everyone starts using the cool underground tubewell water for bathing in the Summer time to beat the heat attack. Through this image I tried to depict that how Kolkata people still finds such a peaceful relief by using the heritage technique of water resource.
