Fujifilm Introduces Compact XC 13-33mm OIS Zoom
Fujifilm has announced the Fujinon XC 13–33mm f/3.5–6.3 OIS, a new compact zoom lens introduced alongside the X-T30 III. The lens is designed as an entry-level option for everyday use and represents the smallest and lightest zoom currently available for the X-mount system: when retracted, it measures 37.5 mm in length and weighs 125 g, emphasizing portability over a wide aperture or extended zoom range.
Covering a 20–50 mm equivalent focal length in full-frame terms, the XC 13–33mm f/3.5–6.3 OIS targets general-purpose shooting such as travel, interiors, and street photography. Its optical design includes ten elements in nine groups, incorporating four aspherical and three extra-low dispersion components to limit distortion and chromatic aberration. The nine-blade diaphragm is intended to produce more circular bokeh than earlier XC zooms. The lens supports 49 mm filters.
Autofocus speeds as fast as 0.025 seconds are reported when used with compatible camera bodies, driven by a stepping motor designed for low-noise operation. The minimum focusing distance remains 20 cm throughout the entire zoom range, yielding a maximum magnification of 0.25×, which enables closer framing of small subjects. Built-in optical image stabilization is rated for up to four stops of compensation under CIPA standards, which is notable given the relatively slow maximum aperture.
Externally, the lens provides zoom and manual-focus control but omits an aperture ring, consistent with other XC-series models. It is the first manually retractable design in Fujifilm’s lineup, extending to 55.6 mm when in use.

The lens will be offered as the standard kit zoom for the X-T30 III and is planned to ship separately in late January 2026 at a suggested retail price of $399.95 in the United States and €316.30 in Europe.
