Godox has expanded beyond its established lighting and photography accessories business with the P100, a compact color photo printer designed for smartphone-based printing. The device uses dye-sublimation technology and combines a rechargeable battery with Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, placing it in the same category as portable printers such as the Canon SELPHY QX20 and Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer Pro.

The P100 produces images at 300 dpi and supports 16.7 million colors. Its dye-sublimation system relies on 1,256 heating elements to transfer color to the paper, rather than using the Zink process found in some other compact printers. Once printing is complete, the device automatically applies a transparent protective layer intended to reduce the effects of moisture, dust and fingerprints.

Printing is managed through the Godox Cam app for iOS and Android. Smartphones can connect over Bluetooth or through NFC tap-to-connect, after which images can be edited and sent to the printer. The software includes basic tools for creating collages and ID photos, as well as filters, frames, stickers and templates. It can also display the amount of paper remaining in the cartridge. The printer indeed uses an integrated cartridge system that combines the necessary printing materials with photo paper. Replacement packs contain ten sheets, reducing the number of separate consumables that need to be handled.

With a weight of approximately 320 grams, the P100 is intended primarily for portable use. Power comes from an internal 800mAh battery rechargeable through USB-C, allowing the printer to operate without a continuous external power connection.
