American company Lowepro has announced the Fastpack IV Collection, the fourth generation of one of the company’s most established backpack lines. The series comprises three models — the BP 150 AW IV, the BP 250 AW IV, and the BP 450 AW IV — each sized for a different level of kit and use scenario, while sharing the same core design logic.

The defining feature of the Fastpack line has always been its side-access camera compartment, which allows the user to swing the bag forward off one shoulder and reach camera equipment without fully removing the pack: this mechanism is retained in the IV generation. Alongside it, the new models introduce a redesigned full back-panel opening that makes loading and packing easier, and a dual-compartment layout within the camera section that separates photographic equipment from personal items. The camera compartment can be reconfigured to function as a standard daypack when no camera equipment needs to be carried, extending the bag’s usefulness beyond dedicated shooting situations. Lockable zips and dedicated organization pockets are included across all three models.

The BP 150 AW IV is the smallest of the three, at 16 liters, accommodating a mirrorless camera body with up to three standard lenses and a 14-inch laptop. The BP 250 AW IV sits in the middle at 22 liters, adding capacity for a fourth lens and a 16-inch laptop sleeve. The BP 450 AW IV tops the range at 28 liters, with room for a fifth lens and the same 16-inch laptop accommodation as the mid-size model. All three are available exclusively in black.
