Moment Presents Fast & Light Camera Bag Series
American company Moment has introduced a full range of new camera carrying solutions focused on reduced weight and compact form factors: the Fast & Light series includes the Sequence 23L backpack, three compact slings, and the Exposure 10L vest, all matching the trend of smaller and lighter camera systems. The company states that conventional photo bags have not followed the same miniaturization, so the entire line has been designed from scratch, using a reinforced, lightweight and weather-resistant nylon fabric called LiteWeave Ripstop. All items adopt design cues from running and cycling gear, aiming to keep equipment tight to the body and easy to access while in motion. Bright interior colors are finally used to make it easier to locate gear in low light.
The Sequence 23L Camera Backpack weighs around one kilogram, which Moment claims is roughly 30% lighter than comparable bags, and features foldable padded shelves, called PUPS, that can shift between photo storage and a standard backpack layout. Access is possible from the top or through a front clamshell opening, and its vest-inspired shoulder straps incorporate small zip pockets and a routing channel for a charging cable. Additional components include side mesh pockets for bottles or tripods, and a back panel designed for airflow.
The Exposure 10L Vest represents the most unconventional product in the lineup, resembling running equipment more than a traditional photographer’s vest. It uses bungee side and sternum adjustments instead of a zipper, allowing a tight, bounce-free fit during active use. Stretch pockets on the front and back distribute items to avoid bulk, while a rear compartment can accommodate a 14-inch laptop or a hydration bladder, with a pass-through channel for charging cables. Constructed from the same lightweight fabric, the vest weighs 0.8 kilograms and will be offered in two sizes.
The series also includes three slings with capacities of 7L, 4L, and 1.5L. The largest, the Balance 7L, can carry a full-size mirrorless camera with a zoom lens and includes customizable dividers and a crossbody zip compartment. It weighs 600 grams and supports back or front carry with the ability to swing forward for quick access. The Slate 4L sling, instead, is suitable for a mirrorless body with a standard lens and can also be used as a waist pack. It includes a one-hand quick-adjust strap, a removable stability strap, and attachment points for items such as a tripod or jacket, weighing 400 grams in total. The smallest sling, the Take 1.5L, is designed for compact cameras or smartphone setups, with minimal internal organization and compatibility with crossbody or waist carry at only 200 grams.
Pricing is set at $230 for the Sequence 23L Camera Backpack, $120 for the Exposure 10L Vest, and $120 for the 7L sling , $99 for the 4L, and $55 for the 1.5L version. The products are all available for preorder with shipping expected by the end of December for the first production units.
