American company Pelican has introduced the PX35 Aegis 35L Creator Pack, a camera backpack designed to work alongside the company’s hard cases rather than replace them. With a 35-liter capacity, the pack is intended for photographers, filmmakers and drone operators carrying relatively large equipment kits, while its main feature is a removable padded insert that can be transferred directly between the backpack and selected Pelican cases.

The insert uses adjustable padded dividers to accommodate different combinations of camera bodies, lenses, drones and accessories. More importantly, it is sized to fit inside the Pelican Protector 1510 and Air 1535 hard cases. This allows equipment to remain in the same organized configuration during transport: the insert can be carried inside a rigid case for air or ground travel and then moved into the backpack when greater mobility is required at the destination.

Access to the main compartment is available from the rear, sides and top, reducing the need to open the entire bag when changing lenses or retrieving equipment. A separate protected area at the top provides additional storage for smaller items or another camera, while the front section incorporates pockets and attachment points for accessories. External straps can also accommodate equipment such as a tripod or additional gear.

The backpack is built from weather-resistant 500D Cordura and includes a deployable rain cover. However, it is not waterproof and does not provide the same sealed construction or impact protection as Pelican’s rigid cases. Instead, its structure is intended to offer an intermediate level of protection while remaining suitable for carrying equipment over longer distances.
