Summit Creative Teases New 70-liter Camera Backpack
Chinese company Summit Creative has introduced a new backpack model, the Tenzing Roll Top Camera Backpack, with a 70-liter capacity aimed at photographers who work with large super-telephoto lenses. According to CAPA Camera Web, the bag is sized to accommodate a Canon 1200mm f/8L IS USM lens alongside a gripped camera body fitted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, with additional space for supplementary optics and accessories. The side pockets also expand outward, providing further storage beyond the main compartment.
The bag measures 700 millimeters in height, 420 millimeters in width, and 280 millimeters in depth. Its empty weight is 4.2 kilograms. Adding a 1200mm lens alone brings an additional 3.3 kilograms, before accounting for camera bodies or other equipment.
Internally, the backpack features customizable dividers, allowing the space to be reconfigured depending on the intended use — whether for a dense arrangement of smaller lenses, a standard travel photography kit, or a combination of camera gear and personal items such as clothing or provisions for outdoor activities.
The 70-liter version is not yet listed on Summit Creative’s website. The company’s existing Tenzing Rolltop line includes 30, 40, and 50-liter variants, all sharing a similar expandable rolltop construction with adjustable interior dividers, front and side pockets, tripod attachment points, removable waist belts, adjustable chest straps, and weather-resistant materials.
Pricing for the 70-liter model has not been announced. As a reference point, the company’s 50-liter version is currently priced at £340 in the United Kingdom, approximately $456 at current exchange rates. The new model is expected to become available through Summit Creative’s Amazon store in the near future.
