Wise Unveils the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB V90 SDXC UHS-II Memory Cards

Wise Advanced has recently introduced an upgraded line of SDXC UHS-II cards with a V90 video speed class. These new cards come in 128, 256, and an impressive 512GB size option and can guarantee a minimum sustained write speed of 90MB/s. By taking advantage of newer chips, software and 3D NAND flash memory, Wise has been able to increase the maximum capacity to 512GB, which is 4x times larger than the original model.

According to the company, the high-capacity 512GB version is the world’s first for these characteristics.

Furthermore, all versions offer maximum read and write speeds of 290 and 260MB/s, respectively. These specs make them suitable for 4K and 360° video recording, and even 8K capture in some cases. Like most SD cards, these new Wise Advanced products feature a built-in write-protect switch. Moreover, they also bring some peace of mind by being water, dust, x-ray, and shock-resistant.

Even with a lot of cameras transitioning to CFexpress Type B cards, there is still clearly a demand for V90 SDXC UHS-II memory cards. SD cards are still likely to dominate the market over the next few years and it is interesting to see that companies like Apple still put a built-in SD UHS-II slot in the latest MacBook Pro and MacStudio models.

The new Wise Advanced SD-N Series cards are now available for pre-order and should start shipping towards mid-April 2022. The official retail price is $159.99 for 128GB, $319.99 for 256GB, and $799.99 for the high-capacity 512GB version.
