Before falling in love with photography, Pierre worked in an ancient manor in Cornwall as a hotel manager. During the winter he would travel to India, learning meditation, drinking chai in clay pots, and listening to Bollywood classics. During one of his trips, he suffered from a derealization episode that lasted three months. As a consequence, he bought a camera to entice himself out of his room where he felt trapped. Taking photographs became a way to escape from his condition and has lead him on a path of mindfulness, allowing him to reconnect with reality and stay present in the moment.
