Inspiration Leica Akademie
“Creativity always works best when we find the courage to question ingrained thought and behavior patterns, and dare to follow paths as yet unknown.”
This new book is like an inspiring visit to a gallery. Heidi and Robert Mertens have curated outstanding pictures taken by 76 Leica Akademie photographers from 16 countries worldwide, and have presented them in an original layout. In the words of the authors, each picture tells a story that will bring you further along your unfolding photographic journey. You will learn how to recognize and capture decisive moments, how to change your perspective to gain creative opportunities, how to let rules be rules, and how to reveal less, yet imply much more.
Images of uncommon quality
“Leica” represents a seal of quality that is confirmed by Leica Akademie photographers all over the world. Their pictures are technically exceptional, frequently outstanding in content, and more than just snapshots each one tells a story.
Creativity through and through
The inspiring, large-format images are accompanied by German and English text by the authors that explain the special aspects of each picture.
Beyond the tip of your nose
From Germany, Italy, France, Australia, Japan, India, and the United States, the international photographers in this book offer pictures covering all genres. The choice of motifs and their photographic compositions will open up new horizons for you.
