NANLUX Announces the FL-28 Lightweight Fresnel Lens for Evoke LED Fixtures

The NANLUX FL-28 is a lightweight and compact NL-mount Fresnel lens designed for Evoke series LED lighting. It weighs 3.86 kg (excluding barn doors) and has a beam angle that may be changed from 17° to 43°. When combined with the Evoke 1200B LED spotlight, it can produce up to 50,330 lux at 3m (5600K, 17° beam angle).

Despite being substantially lighter, NANLUX claims it can withstand the heat produced by Evoke 1200W lights at their highest output. The FL-28 is compatible with the most modern Evoke 2400B spotlight, although it will limit the power to approximately 50% to prevent heat damage to the Fresnel lens. NANLUX predicts a maximum reading of 25,610 lux @3m (5600K, 17° beam angle). The business plans to release another new Fresnel lens designed exclusively for the Evoke 2400B, which will take full use of its increased output.
The NANLUX FL-28 makes use of the company’s NL mount system, which includes communication pins, so the fixture knows which accessory is mounted. This allows the FL-28 Fresnel to instruct a 2400B fixture to run at a maximum of 50% to avoid melting.

NANLUX FL-28. The Fresnel lens will cost $690 and will be delivered in February 2024.
