Samyang Unveils the World’s Widest Recti-linear Prime Lens XP 10mm f/3.5

Samyang introduced the new XP 10mm f/3.5, the world’s widest recti-linear (not fish-eye) prime lens. This lens is designed for full-frame cameras and offers a 130° “distortion free” angle of view, suitable genres such as landscape and architecture.

This lens features a total of 18 lenses in 11 groups. 7 special optic lenses for maximizing the image quality from corner to centre in vivid colours.

The use of 3 aspherical lenses, 3 extra-low dispersion lenses, and 1 high-refractive lens for minimizing distortion extremely and various aberrations. Flare and ghost effects are also well-controlled.

The Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 will be available in the Canon EF-mount in the spring of 2019 with a price tag of $1,250.
A Nikon F-mount version will follow within a few months.
