Street Photo Milano 2019 Schedule

Street Photo Milan, the international street photography festival, after the success of the first edition, returns to Milan from 16 to 19 May 2019 in the BASE spaces with more than 250 images for 7 exhibitions: Jacob Aue Sobol, Matt Stuart, Fulvio Bugani, Observe Collective, Finalists Miami Street Photography Festival 2018, Finalists Street Photo Milan 2019 and Evgeny and Yakov Henkin: from darkness to light. A found treasure.

Many special guests: Gueorgui Pinkhassov, Jacob Aue Sobol, Matt Stuart, Fulvio Bugani, Aeolus Perfidous, Camilla Ferrari, Chris Suspect, Emilio Barillaro, Fadi Boukaram, Marco Casino, Andrew Kochanovski, Michael May, Andrea Pontini, Eléonore Simon, Olga Walther to the contribution of Eyegobananas and Observe collectives as well as 2 photographic competitions, Portfolio Review, Night Walk, Street Battle and Photo Slam.

Gli Occhi della Guerra, the world’s first crowdfunding reportage platform, becomes “Inside Over”: Inside the News, Over the world, a brand new international reportage and analysis magazine. Its mission is to go inside the facts with a perspective that allows us to understand what is happening in the world. An ambitious project that aims at an international audience. Meet the director Andrea Pontini.

The “Olympics of Street Photography”: an original creation by Miami Street Photography Festival to learn from the best. The festival’s top speakers will hold a lively critique of the images sent by photographers from around the world in a call that will be launched a few days before. Open to anyone in the world! The link to send the images will be communicated to Facebook and Instagram.

Eléonore is a French American photographer who lives in Chile and portrays the poetry of city life and the quiet and enigmatic moments that emerge in the chaos of urban environments. We’ll discover photographs of Valparaíso in her talk ‘Always you were surprised by life’.

Camilla has been selected as one of the 30 most influential photographers under 30 in 2019 PDN’s 30: New & Emerging Photographers to Watch. After a presentation of her work she will lead a group of photographers on a walk along the streets of Milan.

‘From the Street to the Reportage: discovering photography with the internet at the birth of social networks’. Winner of the 2014 World Press Photo category multimedia and twice selected for Magnum Photos ’30 under 30 ‘, Marco will talk about his professional career which, starting from street photography, led him to realize various international and national projects.
