Tokina Revamps 11-16mm f/2.8 APS-C Zoom Lens for DSLRs

Tokina announces the Tokina atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF, the first renewed long seller of previously AT-X 116 PRO DX II model to fit contemporary DSLR cameras in newly launched atx-i series.

Based on widely popular AT-X 116 PRO DX II model atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF is designed and optimized for contemporary APS-C sensor DSLR cameras in terms of improved specifications and renovated design with still photographers and video content creators’ demands in mind.

The Tokina atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF features two models to fit Nikon F and Canon EF mounts, where it will provide a16.5-24mm or 17.6-25.6mm equivalent, respectively.

It is a complex, state-of-the-art zoom containing 13 elements in 11 groups, including dual aspheric elements, a large P-MO element, and a pair of all-glass molded low-dispersion (SD) elements for minimal chromatic and spherical aberrations, minimal distortion, and maximum overall sharpness, especially along the edges. The front element also features a waterproof coating for easy cleaning.

In addition to a fixed, f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range, Tokina’s new lens also features a one-touch AF/MF clutch, along with a snap-back focus ring for quick and easy switching between auto and manual focusing.
